Pendapatan Jang Geun Suk Diperkirakan Melampaui Bae Yong Joon - Jang Geun Suk Expected to Surpass Bae Yong Joon in Japanese Ad Revenues

Sensasi pop Jang Geun Suk diperkirakan menghasilkan pendapatan lebih dari 40 milyar won (38 juta USD) dari Jepang tahun ini, membuatnya sebagai salah satu selebriti Korea yang mampu meraih laba terbesar sejak Bae Yong Joon.

Media Jepang Nikkan Gendai memberitakan, “Jang Geun Suk diperkirakan menghasilkan pendapatan minimal 40 milyar won dari albumnya, tiket konser, photobook, dan penjualan merchandize, serta kontrak iklan tahun ini. Ia telah menerima 800 juta won (751,000 USD) dari iklan Suntori Seoul Makgeolli, dan kelihatannya penghasilannya akan melampaui bintang Hallyu Bae Yong Joon. Dengan melihat perkembangan yang ada sekarang, nilai kontrak 1 iklan yang dibintangi Jang Geun Suk bisa dengan  mudahnya naik menjadi 1 milyar won (939,000 USD) tahun depan. Masih banyak lagi perusahaan yang ingin mengkontraknya sebagai bintang iklan mereka.”

Aktor penyanyi ini sukses menjual lebih dari 120,000 copies debut single Jepangnya, “Let Me Cry,” di bulan April, dan menjadi artis asing pertama yang berhasil menduduki peringkat teratas di Oricon Weekly Charts di minggu pertama setelah rilis. Photobook “J Plus” juga menerima lebih dari 50,000 pre-order, seperti yang diprediksi Nikkan Gendai bahwa penjualan album dan photobook-nya  melebihi angka 8 milyar won (7.5 juta USD) tahun ini.

Jang Geun Suk rencananya akan mengadakan Japanese Tour tahun ini juga. Dari penjualan tiket dan merchandise, ia diperkirakan akan menghasilkan pendapatan sebesar 17 milyar won (16 juta USD) . Nikkan Gendai menyatakan, “Hanya dari penjualan merchandise saja, Jang Geun Suk sudah bisa menghasilkan pendapatan sebesar 100 juta yen/hari.”

Pop sensation Jang Geun Suk is projected to make more than 40 billion won (38 million USD) in revenues from Japan this year, which would make him one of the most profitable Korean celebrities since Bae Yong Joon.


Japanese media Nikkan Gendai reported, “Jang Geun Suk is expected to make at least 40 billion won off of album, concert ticket, photo book, and character merchandise sales, as well as advertisement deals in this year alone. He received 800 million won (751,000 USD) from the Suntori Seoul Makgeolli commercial, and it looks like his revenue might surpass that of Hallyu star Bae Yong Joon. Under this pace, Jang Geun Suk’s single commercial fee will easily go over 1 billion won (939,000 USD) next year. A bunch of companies are already waiting to film a commercial with him.”


The singer/actor has sold over 120,000 copies of his Japanese debut single, “Let Me Cry,” in April, becoming the first foreign artist to reach #1 on Oricon Weekly Charts in the first week of release. Nikkan Gendai said, “Just from his merchandise sales, Jang Geun Suk would be able to make 100 million yen a day.”


Meanwhile, Jang Geun Suk became the first Korean celebrity to be featured on the front cover of Japan’s famous magazine, “Men’s Non No.” In March, he was also the front cover model for Japanese weekly magazine “Anan,” which sold a record-high 280,000 copies.
