From what Jang Keun Suk said, in the last episode of MMM, Mu Gyul was supposed to be dumped by Mary, and then cried in his mom’s arms. Because of Jang Keun Suk, Mary made a 180°shift.

What well worth seeing was that Mu Gyul wore all the same clothes at the END of EP16 as EP1. In order to give a feeling of freshness to the audiences, not only the clothes but the same accessories appeared on the screen again. To the audiences it seemed to play a finding fault games.

Mu Gyul suffered a lot all along his way. Once again coming back to shoot at Hongdae, when there was 10 hours before MMM broadcast., Jang Keun Suk suddenly proposed his changes. Before playing in MMM, he often suggested to the director, “Let's do it like this”, which showed him an ambitious actor.

Jang Keun Suk’s active participation was totally out of his ambition and affection to this character. According to this work, a condition of the negative evaluations or the falling watching ratings surely would cause to lose enthusiasm in the stand as an actor. But Jang Keun Suk wouldn’t be like this. Before feeling regret and dissatisfied, he knew how to analyze the work.

The winner of both the Top Buzz Male Korea Star Award and the Top Buzz Male Asia Star Award is Jang Geun Seok. His votes more than doubled the votes of the second place vote getter Kim Hyun Joong (who won two awards last year at this gin joint). Congrats to Jang Geun Seok and his fans (the eels, am I correct?).

The awards ceremony will be held on December 17th in Hong Kong. I’m assuming Jang Geun Seok will attend to personally receive the award, but it’s also around the time Mary Stayed Out All Night films its finale episodes. Let’s hope everything works out for his schedule.

I’m not surprised that Jang Geun Seok won. His You’re Beautiful aired all over Asia earlier this year, and his name and face recognition clearly gained widespread exposure because of this popular and fun drama. My one quibble is that my least favorite Jang Geun Seok incarnation is awards show Jang Geun Seok. He tends to show up in the most “interesting” outfits, to say the least. My favorite Jang Geun Seok incarnation is, no surprise, in-character Jang Geun Seok. This news report may not be either salacious (OMG, they must be dating) nor all that surprising (watching Mae Ri knit in episode 4, it was obvious that Moon Geun Young actually knew how to knit). It turns out that the pair of mittens Mae Ri is currently knitting for Mu Gyul in the drama Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry Me, Mary!) will in fact be knitted by Moon Geun Young personally.

It’s not being purchased or even completed by some prop person. Nope, Moon Geun Young has been knitting the pair during breaks in filming. She’s so good the cast has taken to calling her a knitting factory. She confirms that she’s knitting the Mu Gyul mittens as a gift for Jang Geun Soek because they have been getting along so well as co-stars (with their very similar backgrounds as child stars and same age). Really, please don’t read too much into it, I don’t for a second believe anything is going on behind the scenes between them.

I just love this news report because those mittens are clearly going to be quite important to Mu Gyul in the future, and it somehow feels so special that Moon Geun Young made it as a gift for Jang Geun Seok. NEWS : Mary Stayed Out All Night Presold to China for RecordHigh Price

Upcoming Korean drama series “Mary Stayed Out All Night” starring Jang Geun-seok has been presold to China for a record high price for a drama, according to the show’s promoter Ytree Media.

On Wednesday, Ytree announced that Golden Luck 社, one of China’s largest distribution companies, have signed a contract for distribution rights of the new drama which is set to air on Korea’s public network KBS starting next month.

Golden Luck 社 has bought rights to Korean dramas before including KBS’ “My Precious You” and “My Fair Lady”.

“‘Mary Stayed Out All Night‘ is just right for the young viewers in China with its cheerful and light romantic comedy storyline”, an official from Golden Luck was quoted as saying, adding that they have high hopes because of the show’s notable writers and cast.

The show had already been presold to Taiwan during the Taipei TV Festival in late September.

Based on the online comic by famed writer Won Soo-yeon, “Mary Stayed Out All Night” revolves around a woman (played by Moon Geun-yeong) who makes realizations about love and herself while being in two fake marriages for 100 days to completely opposite men — Moo-kyul (played by Jang) and Jung-in (played by Kim Jae-wook).

“Mary Stayed Out All Night” will premiere on November 8 after current Micky Yoochun starrer “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” ends its run.

Here’s our first look at the characters of Mary Stayed Out All Night! The four lead actors — Moo Geun-young, Jang Geun-seok, Kim Jae-wook, and Kim Hyo-jin — participated in the drama’s title and poster shoot on October 6.


I’m not going to complain about Jang Geun-seok’s look here, because I think he’s actually quite pretty — but that’s the thing. All four of these actors are basically on the same end of the feminine-masculine spectrum here. I know, it’s based on a manhwa, and we know that shoujo manga/soonjung manhwas are all about the pretty, pretty boys. Oh well. I can always turn to Runaway to get my manly-men fix.


Jang plays indie-band singer Mu-gyul, who’s characterized by a boho sense of style. Moon plays Mary, whose fashion sense doesn’t seem too far off from Mu-gyul. Is that how we know they’re meant to be? Not only will they engage in lots of comic shenanigans and fall in love, they can swap wardrobes! Meanwhile, the two Kims both sport a more chic, urban style as characters Jung-in and Seo-jun.


Following the poster shoot, Jang said, “I’m happy and excited. I want to stay this way through the end. The shooting atmosphere is wonderful.” He said of the wave of fan-made posters for the drama, “I was amazed at the fans’ interest, and I’d like to give them my gratitude. With the poster shoot being so enjoyable, I hope the poster comes out great and receives a good response.”
